South West Water have become official supporters of the region’s largest youth community sports event. The South West Rotary Youth Games is helping create a happier and healthier future by delivering inspiring, innovative and accessible sports and physical activity events across Devon and Cornwall.
Around 10,000 young people across the South West take part in the Games journey every year and the 2018 season climaxes with the Summer Finals set to take place at Dawlish Leisure Centre on Saturday 7 July.
Alan Hyde, Head of Public and Community Relations, South West Water said: “We are delighted to have teamed up with the South West Rotary Youth Games. The importance of staying healthy and hydrated, including during exercise, is a really key message for young people taking their first steps into competitive sport and regular physical activity.
“We look forward to working with the Games and helping them make a significant contribution to the health of all Devon and Cornwall communities.”
Chris Broadbent, Chief Executive, South West Youth Games said: “We are really pleased to be teaming up with South West Water - there is real synergy between our organisations. We both want to nurture healthier more sustainable communities across the region and working together can only strengthen our cause.”
Games’ ambassador and former Exeter Chiefs star Matt Jess joined South West Water’s Alan Hyde to toast the sponsorship announcement at South West Water’s offices in Exeter.
