A 25% increase on entries and the attendance of a Superleague Academy player are the main features of this weekend’s Netball Finals.
Around 150 young people are set to contest the netball competitions of the South West Rotary Youth Games this Sunday at Paignton Community and Sport Academy, which will be attended by Team Bath Academy Pleyer Rachel Fee.
Fifteen teams will take to the court for Netball under 13 girls and High 5 Netball mixed, up on the 11 teams that contested netball competitions at the 2017 Games.
Teignbridge took the High 5 gold 12 months ago and the area will bring two teams to this year’s finals where they will go up against teams from East Devon, North Devon x 2, South Hams, Torbay x 2 and West Devon.
East Devon won the under 18 girls tournament last year and they will once again line up a revised under 13 competition up against Exeter, North Devon, Teignbridge, Torbay and South Hams. The action gets underway at 10am.
