Planet Earth Games set to deliver the U.K's largest Plogathon: An Explainer.     Planet Earth Games and Plastic Free exeter have agreed a partnership to deliver a ‘Plogathon’ – which organisers believe could be the biggest plogging event ever delivered in the UK. Taking place at Exwick Sports Hub and Flowerpot Playing Fields on 6 July, the Planet Earth Games will be part of a weekend long celebration for the city. The exeter Festival will take place 5-7 July including live music and film screenings and craft activities at Northernhay Gardens and Cathedral Green. As well as Saturday's packed programme, The Planet Earth Games will also have a presence at the 7 July activities in Northernhay Gardens via a plogging event. Devon County Councillors joined Games participants, volunteers and partners to celebrate the success of the first ever Planet Earth Games. The reception at County Hall, exeter on 25 July also saw the awarding of the John Coates Cup, named after the charity's former Chair to exeter Saracens for thebest performing local team at this year's Games. Councillor Carol Whitton is pictured with members of the rugby club....

YOUNGSTERS SHINE AT YOUTH GAMES FINAL Around 1000 youngsters from right across Devon and Cornwall competed in the South West Youth Games in Okehampton on Sunday at the region’s biggest community youth sports event. Watched by Olympian Jemma Simpson, hundreds of youngsters representing nine Devon districts and a combined Cornwall team took part in the annual event, first launched in 1999 and newly expanded from Devon to include Cornwall this year. The West Devon team took the honours as the overall winners across a total of 19 sports, four events having already taken place at the Mount Hawke Street Games event in Truro on 31 May. Maybe you want to take on the role of an Area/Team Co-ordinator or a Team Manager for a specific sport/activity?
